SHACMAN Transmission System Spare Parts X3000 X5000 FAST Retarder Proportional Control Valve HB400-60001 G00963



The HB400-60001 G00963 Retarder Proportional Control Valve is a key hydraulic control component in the FAST transmission hydraulic retarder system used on compatible SHACMAN heavy-duty trucks. During vehicle deceleration, the hydraulic retarder provides auxiliary braking by using transmission-connected hydraulic resistance to absorb part of the vehicle's kinetic energy. The proportional control valve regulates the hydraulic pressure entering the retarder control circuit according to the selected braking demand, allowing the retarder braking force to be increased or reduced progressively. This controlled pressure adjustment helps coordinate the retarder with the transmission and gives the driver a more manageable auxiliary braking response, particularly during long downhill sections and repeated deceleration.

The HB400-60001 G00963 Retarder Proportional Control Valve is a key hydraulic control component in the FAST transmission hydraulic retarder system used on compatible SHACMAN heavy-duty trucks. During vehicle deceleration, the hydraulic retarder provides auxiliary braking by using transmission-connected hydraulic resistance to absorb part of the vehicle's kinetic energy. The proportional control valve regulates the hydraulic pressure entering the retarder control circuit according to the selected braking demand, allowing the retarder braking force to be increased or reduced progressively.
